Domestic Violence Support Worker Location: Neath Port Talbot and Swansea (Hybrid / Community-based) Salary: £23,150 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Fixed term to end of March 2027 Are you an experienced support worker looking to take the next step in your career and make a profound impact in your community? We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Domestic Violence Support Worker . In this vital role, you will work across Neath Port Talbot and Swansea to empower individuals as they transition into independent living, ensuring they have the tools, safety, and resilience needed to rebuild their lives. What You'll Do As a Domestic Violence Support Worker , you will provide tailored, trauma-informed support to individuals moving forward from crisis. Your day-to-day will include: Delivering high-quality, person-centred support to individuals across the Neath and Swansea areas. Conducting robust safety planning and risk assessments to ensure ongoing security. Helping clients build independent living skills, including budgeting, accessing community resources, and securing long-term housing. Collaborating with external agencies and community partners to provide a seamless support network. About You If you have a background in social care, housing, or community support, we want to hear from you! Please note: You do not require specialist domestic violence support experience for this role. Our client is incredibly happy to consider anyone with general support work experience, as comprehensive, sector-s specific training will be fully provided. What we are looking for: Proven experience in a support worker role (e.g., mental health, housing support, learning disabilities, or community care). A compassionate, non-judgmental approach with excellent active listening skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a community-based caseload across Neath and Swansea . A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for travel between community appointments. A DBS on the update service is desirable but not essential What's on Offer? Salary: £23,150 per annum.
