About Us
We're seeking an experienced SEO & E-Commerce Manager to accelerate growth of our B2C website and reduce our reliance on paid advertising through strategic organic growth initiatives.
Hiatt Hardware has been a trusted manufacturer, distributor and retailer of premium hardware and DIY products for over 40 years. We supply major DIY retailers across the UK while growing our direct-to-consumer presence through our e-commerce platform featuring over 10,000 products.
Role Responsibilities
SEO:
* Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies across technical, on-page and off-page optimisation to drive organic traffic growth and revenue.
* Conduct technical audits and implement improvements ensuring optimal site structure, crawlability, and Core Web Vitals performance.
* Collaborate with our Senior Copywriter to create SEO-optimised content and ensure meta tags, headings, and URLs align with keyword research.
* Analyse competitors to identify opportunities and develop strategies for competitive advantage in search results.
* Deliver regular, actionable SEO performance reports for all stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with search engine guidelines and e-commerce best practices.
E-Commerce:
* Own our e-commerce technical infrastructure, ensuring speed, security, accessibility, compliance and seamless integrations with marketing tools.
* Continuously improve customer experience by managing and implementing website enhancements from initiation to completion with our web development agency.
* Optimise e-commerce platform elements including product catalogues, filtering systems, URL structures, and internal linking.
What We’re Looking For
* 5+ years in B2C SEO & e-commerce roles with proven track record of scaling organic revenue.
* Demonstrable success running SEO campaigns that significantly improved organic traffic and conversions.
* Expert knowledge of SEO tools (e.g. Google Search Console, Analytics, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs).
* Proficiency with CMS and e-commerce platforms (Magento 2 experience highly preferred).
* Strong understanding of technical SEO principles and implementation.
* Solid grasp of HTML, CSS and web standards.
* Deep knowledge of UX principles, web design and customer journey optimisation
* Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
* Proactive self-starter with positive, solution-focused approach.
* Natural problem solver who delivers projects on time using structured methodologies.
* Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration and external partnership management.
* Commitment to staying current with SEO trends, algorithm changes and AI developments.

Salary/ remuneration negotiable, mainly depending on experience.
