Catering Manager Location:Nottingham, NG2 1LT Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum Hours: 7:00-15:30 Shifts: Across Monday to Sunday Driving licence required Purpose of the Role Ensure efficient preparation and timely service of all meals to Sodexo standards, maintaining high levels of cleanliness, hygiene, and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Manage catering services across main and satellite sites. Cook meals from scratch, including English and international cuisines. Meet dietary requirements and comply with Natasha’s Law/PPDS allergen rules. Control unit financial performance and meet budgeted targets. Lead, train, and develop staff; manage performance and apply HR policies. Oversee rota management, holidays, and payroll (KRONOS). Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and statutory regulations. Order stock, manage inventories, and complete accurate stock takes. Maintain hygiene and cleanliness throughout the unit. Complete operational systems: Eprophit trading, DRIVe menu management, due diligence records. Manage cash handling, banking, safe checks, and security of all Sodexo-controlled areas. Organise hospitality catering, including occasional out-of-hours support. Support AM/Asst. AM and provide cover for holidays and sickness. Manage vending operations for customer satisfaction and profit optimisation. Key Accountabilities Maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. Uphold Sodexo service standards and service level agreements. Ensure full compliance with company policies and statutory obligations. Respond to incidents (accidents, theft, unfit food, etc.) and complete required reports. Hold regular client meetings and act on feedback. Person Specification Qualifications & Experience NVQ Chef or HND/HNC in Hospitality (preferred). Working towards Food Safety Level 3. Full driving licence. Experience in catering management and team leadership. Budget and financial management experience. Skills & Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Good financial and IT literacy. Ability to work under pressure and maintain high hygiene standards. Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Self-motivated, proactive, and flexible.
