Job summary
We have a vacancy for a full-time Administration Support Officer to join our Audiology Department.
The successful candidate will work from Brecon Hospital to provide administrative support to our small Audiology team. This will include reception duties such as answering phone calls, booking appointments, and coordinating waiting lists for both adult and paediatric departments.
Main duties of the job
The Administration Assistant will provide comprehensive front desk and administrative support to the department, including:
* Acting as a first point of contact for the department.
* Answering telephone calls and taking messages accurately.
* Handling routine and specialist enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner, communicating relevant information, and referring to others as appropriate.
* Photocopying and word processing documents, letters, emails, minutes, and reports as required.
* Updating electronic and paper-based systems, collating information, mail distribution, and logging.

Qualifications
* Essential: GCSE level education, RSA/OCR II qualification
* Desirable: NVQ Business Admin Level 2, knowledge of Data Protection Act
Admin experience
* Essential: Producing correspondence, customer service, proficiency in IT software, knowledge of office practices
* Desirable: Experience in an office environment
Aptitude and abilities
