We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected independent healthcare provider for multiple Consultant Psychiatrist positions at a large, well-established mental health hospital in Stockport, Greater Manchester. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking team across a range of services including Male PICU, Acute, and Rehabilitation units. Whether your expertise lies in intensive care or long-term recovery, there’s a role here where you can make a real impact. Available Consultant Roles Male PICU Unit – Lead care for patients in acute psychiatric crisis requiring intensive support. Dual Acute & Rehabilitation Units – Oversee patient journeys from crisis through to recovery and reintegration. Your Responsibilities Act as Responsible Clinician for your ward, leading patient care and treatment planning. Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage treatment pathways. Chair MDT, CPA, and risk meetings, ensuring collaborative care. Prepare reports for Mental Health Tribunals, Managers’ Hearings, and commissioners. Provide clinical leadership and contribute to governance and quality improvement. Participate in a non-resident on-call rota (approx. 1 in 7). What We’re Looking For MBBS or equivalent medical degree with MRCPsych and Section 12/AC approval. Full GMC registration with a licence to practise. Experience in inpatient mental health settings (PICU, acute, or rehab). Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills. Commitment to continuous professional development and service improvement.
