Job Description:
As a Parts Advisor, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of parts to our workshop teams. Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating closely with workshop technicians to identify and order required parts, including reviewing orders from night shift teams.
Coordinating the timely delivery of parts and promptly notifying the workshop team upon arrival.
Accurately receipting stock using the Freeway system.
Managing stock levels within the parts room and conducting weekly stocktakes to ensure accuracy.
Performing daily checks to monitor part arrivals and proactively liaising with suppliers to resolve any delays.
Analysing fast- and slow-moving stock trends and discussing findings with the Head of Fleet Maintenance.
Occasionally collecting emergency parts using the workshop van, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Maintaining compliance with all Health and Safety regulations within the parts department.Required Experience:
Experience working with suppliers and customers in a similar role.
A basic understanding of mechanical components, whether from cars or HGVs.
Familiarity with the Freeway system (desirable but not essential).
Previous experience managing databases and maintaining accurate records.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with colleagues at all levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Why Join Gregory Distribution Ltd?
Competitive Salary: £33,500pa to £38,000pa, depending on experience.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Exact timings to be discussed at interview.
