Head of Delivery – Renewable Energy
Are you a hands-on operational leader who’s passionate about sustainability and the transition to renewable energy?
We are looking for a Head of Delivery to lead our clients’ installation and operations function, overseeing the delivery of their LED lighting, Commercial Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV charging and Energy Management Systems.
This is a key leadership role in an already well established business with many household names as existing customers. You will take full responsibility for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on budget and to the highest standards.
The Role:
As Head of Delivery, you will lead a multi-disciplinary operations team, including installers, electricians, project managers, warehouse, admin and logistics staff. You'll also coordinate with trusted third-party contractors to help deliver multiple time-sensitive projects.
This role places you at the heart of the UK’s renewable energy transformation, helping customers reduce reliance on fossil fuels and embrace low-carbon technology.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the operational delivery of B2B renewable energy installations
* Manage end-to-end operations including stock control, procurement, logistics, installations through to customer handover.
* Lead and develop a high-performing team with a strong focus on health and safety, quality control, customer service
* Identify process improvements and develop efficient workflows to drive efficiencies.
* Engage and onboard trusted third-party contractors to expand delivery capacity without compromising standards.
* Collaborate closely with the MD, Sales Director, and FD to align operational delivery with business growth plans.
* Lead regular operational meetings, providing clear performance insights, shared learnings and proactive issue resolution.
* Be an exemplar role model of their culture of sustainability, accountability, and customer excellence across the business.
* Proactively gather and act on customer feedback to enhance service to strengthen long-term relationships.
About You:
* Significant leadership experience in operations, ideally within the renewable energy, electrical, mechanical industries.
* Strong understanding of project planning, health and safety compliance, team management, and logistics.
* Passionate about sustainability and the role of clean technology in shaping the future.
* Resilient, adaptable problem solver who can lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
* Clear communicator and strategic thinker with a strong commercial mindset.
