Overview
Part Time Vet required for a busy practice 2 days a week. Ideally Monday and Tuesday weekly and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings.
Established in 1989, we are a small animal practice located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. Our practice is easily accessible; we offer disabled access and on-site parking. Our friendly and experienced veterinary team provide the highest quality of veterinary care, surgery and treatment – along with regular check-ups and routine procedures.
Role and requirements
* Role: Small Animal Vet (2+ years experience)
* Hours: Full shift 10.5 hours (to be discussed)
* Days: Ideally Monday and Tuesday (to be discussed); 1 in 4 Saturday mornings
* Salary: £65,000 FTE (depending on experience and qualifications)
About the team and caseload
The successful candidate will be working with an experienced team of 3 Vets with interests in cardiology, internal medicine and dermatology. The practice has a well-established team of 4 RVNs supporting 2 SVNs. There is also a visiting Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery. There are no OOH or Bank Holiday working requirements for this role.
Caseload and opportunities
The role can vary depending on your interests; the general caseload at present is 50% consults and 50% surgery. We will consider consult-only arrangements. There is also an option to try us before you join by working a fixed-term contract of up to 6 months.
Commitments
* 1:4 weekends (Saturday only) – this is a half shift 4.5 hours (8:00am - 12:30pm)
