HGV Technician - Late Shift Location: Reading area Hours: 16:00-00:00 (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum overtime at 1.5x late shift allowance An excellent opportunity has become available for a qualified HGV Technician to join a leading commercial vehicle service centre in the Reading area. This is a permanent late-shift role working with modern equipment in a well-organised workshop, offering excellent earning potential and training support to help you progress your career. Key Responsibilities Carry out routine service, inspection, and repair work on heavy goods vehicles and trailers. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults quickly and accurately. Perform mechanical repairs, wheel alignment, and tyre fitting to manufacturer standards. Ensure all documentation and job cards are completed accurately. Maintain workshop standards for safety, cleanliness, and compliance. Skills & Experience Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI). Experience working on HGVs in a workshop, manufacturer, or fleet environment. Sound understanding of DVSA safety and inspection standards. Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous). Reliable, safety-conscious, and quality-driven team player.
