Perhaps you are a Traffic Management Operative working for a contractor and looking to make a switch to the client for more stability and security? Maybe you have some experience and are looking to take on more responsibility and complete all the up-to-date Lantra and NRSWA certifications? Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will support our Break Fix teams, taking CAD drawings and ensuring regulations are followed for Highway permits, temporary traffic lights, road closures and signing, etc for safe and compliant civil site set up. You do not need to bring all accreditations, we can support this with external and internal training courses, but we would like someone who has had exposure to planning, setting up or working on civils sites, appreciates the health & safety aspects and is computer literate to interpret CAD drawings, use systems and complete documentation. Previous experience of Fibre / FTTP / FTTH networks would be advantageous and there will be an opportunity to expand your skills and knowledge with training on our network. The Traffic Management kit is stored at our warehouse in Swindon, so you would live locally for easy pick up and drop off using a 7.5 ton flat-bed truck. You will require a full driving licence (manual), also have or can pass a DBS check. Gigaclear is a growing Fibre Broadband (FTTP / FTTH) company, developing our fibre-to-the-premises broadband infrastructure to some of the most difficult to reach areas of the UK, empowering those communities with broadband to rival any city. Note: All offers of employment will be subject to interview. Further to this, we must take steps to ensure that our company vehicle drivers are safe, as such you will not only be required to undergo licence checks and regular monitoring of your driving style, but you will also be required to undergo a drug & alcohol test as part of your onboarding. Your offer of employment will be withdrawn if you fail this drug & alcohol test. Employees will then be required to cooperate with a programme of random drug & alcohol testing throughout their employment.
