Overview
We're recruiting for a driven and dedicated Electrician to join our FM team at HMP & YOI Doncaster, a fully contained residential centre housing adult men and women. We focus on decency and respect in all aspects of care for our residents and use continuous innovation to further improve and develop our service.
Responsibilities
* As the FM Electrician you will carry out fault finding and defect rectification to items of electrical plant and equipment, pre-planned maintenance of items of electrical plant and equipment and installation of new plant and apparatus.
* You will need to document inspection findings and pursue fault rectifications.
* You will work as part of a close-knit team; however you will be expected to work independently at times.
* This role is ideally suited to someone starting up their Electrician career or someone who is looking to step away from vast travel and be based on site full time.

* There will be a need to participate on the on-call roster, which currently sits around 1 in 8 and there will be a requirement for out of hours work and weekend work to meet business needs.
Requirements / Qualifications
* C & G Electrical Certificate or other recognised electrical trade qualification and you must have served a recognised trade apprenticeship.
* Qualified to BS7671 (Current Edition of the IEE Regulations).
* Commitment and flexibility is a must; you will work as part of an on-call rostered team, currently 1 in 14.
