We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual who is passionate about enhancing the wellbeing of others through meaningful activities and social engagement. This Activity Coordinator role offers the opportunity to make a positive difference in the daily lives of our residents by creating enjoyable, stimulating, and person-centred activities in a caring and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, organise, and deliver a varied programme of activities that meet the social, emotional, physical, and recreational needs of residents.
* Encourage residents to participate in activities that promote independence, wellbeing, and inclusion.
* Take residents’ individual interests, preferences, and abilities into account when planning activities and events.
* Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues to create a welcoming and engaging environment.
* Support residents during group and one-to-one activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and enjoyment at all times.
* Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation where required.
* Report any concerns regarding residents’ wellbeing to the appropriate senior staff member.
About You
* Previous experience working within a care home or similar setting is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidate.
* A creative, enthusiastic, and caring approach with a genuine interest in improving residents’ quality of life.
* Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
* Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work shifts and support special events where required.
