Hourly rate of pay: £15.52 - £16.58
Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Thursday, 09:00-17:00 (45 minute break).
Friday, 09:00-16:00 (1 hour break).
Flexi time is applicable.

The successful candidate will have experience of responding quickly to changing customer and service needs.
This is a busy and varied role offering support with a wide range of council services which include homeless enquiries, benefits, social work and rent enquiries and processing payments. The team also process applications for National Entitlement Cards and offer supported appointments for those unable to apply online for Blue Badges so strong communication and people skills are essential.
The successful candidate will be required to help customers access services online and as such they must have strong digital skills.
The successful candidate will support the contact centre covering telephone enquiries into the Council and library duties when required.
Our teams work flexibly across our offices and whilst the successful candidate will work mainly within their base location, they will be required to cover other locations across East Lothian potentially at short notice.
Due to this being a front facing customer role, homeworking will not be considered and flexitime is limited.
Job Details
To respond to customer enquiries regarding a wide range of Council services predominantly through face-to-face contact, but also via telephone and email, in compliance with Council policies and procedures and support Customer Services Officers in the day to day running of Area offices.
