Yorkshire Water have moved to a position of Smart metering as standard and will have ~1.6 Million Smart meters operating by the end of AMP8. Significant business change is requires across people, process and systems to embed this asset type and the opportunities to efficiency and service it presents. This role will ensure the successful rollout of the smart metering programme focusing on the non-household customers, ensuring the correct regulatory requirements are followed and the delivery milestones are achieved inline with the Ofwat PCD. Where you fit in: As our Non-Household Smart Metering Deployment and Engagement Lead you will Act as the primary NHH smart metering representative, collaborating with business customers, retailers, and Wholesale Market Services to support the successful deployment of 116,000 smart meters by the end of AMP8. Lead the NHH workstream within the technology programme, ensuring alignment with overall strategic goals and programme milestones. Identify, manage, and report NHH-specific project risks, issues, and dependencies, maintaining a comprehensive RAID log. Ensure full compliance with NHH market codes and regulatory requirements throughout the smart metering programme. Coordinate all NHH workstream activities, ensuring timely delivery of key project objectives and stakeholder engagement. Drive retailer engagement and communication in line with the smart metering strategy, acting as the key interface between retailers and the programme. Support the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of NHH business processes in collaboration with Wholesale Market Services. Oversee testing and sign-off of new NHH requirements, including writing test scripts, conducting UAT, and managing defect resolution. What skills & qualifications you will need: Being positive and resilient, passionate about smart metering and driven to exceeding expectations through delivery Strong stakeholder management and experience of managing a wide network effectively. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence and inspire in order to create collaboration across the non-household community Ability to track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the smart metering project and identify areas for improvement. Ability to work in face paced delivery and able to manage multiple tasks effectively Proactive, self motivated, organized and takes personal accountability Develops and maintains effective internal and external relationships. Experience of supporting and embedding change, able to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours. Experience of working in a Customer service environment.
