Fixed Term contract for 6 months, 37 hours per week
To work with the Head of Apprenticeships to deliver a high Refrigeration / Air Conditioning quality apprenticeship programme including classroom and workshop theory and practical teaching. As well onsite (employer based) assessment and reviews into all apprentices, that meets Bath College quality expectations, that prepares apprentices in both knowledge, skills and behaviours that meet the needs of the industry, the Apprenticeship Institute and End-Point Assessment criteria to a merit or distinction standard.
Manage, review, assess and train a caseload of apprentices who are based in the college and workplace and are currently undertaking Apprenticeships. To ensure that the success rates of apprentices are at or above the level set by the College.

Key Responsibilities
1. To provide induction, assessment, training, coaching, teaching and assessment to apprentices who are undertaking Apprenticeship Programmes and supporting qualification(s)
* Train, assess, support, advise and assist apprentices during their training both at college and in the workplace
* Deal with queries when supervising apprentices.
* Participate in the promotional and marketing aspects of the college
* Undertake initial assessment of apprentices and assist in the apprentice actions planning
2. To assess apprentices’ progress and maintain records of assessments of learning carried out.
* To create an engaging learning programme that inspires and motivates apprentices to improve their knowledge, skills and behaviours in Refrigeration /Air Conditioning.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Level 2 (e.g. GCSE) English and Maths at Grade B or above
* Qualified to NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, in a heating and plumbing discipline.
* Assessor to demonstrate a commitment to complete the TAQA Assessor Award within a 12 month period
* Industry qualifications must include: A Level 3 in Refrigeration /Air Conditioning and have current F Gas certification
* Full UK Driving Licence and use of own vehicle
