What's involved with this role: JOB TITLE: Planning Obligations & CIL Monitoring Officer REF: Bradford 5276307 Pay rate: £19.81 per hour PAYE Contract Type: Temporary, Anticipated 1 to 2 months Working Arrangement: Assume office based as no hybrid working provided The role: On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Planning Obligations & CIL Monitoring Officer to oversee CIL/Sec 106 implementation and monitoring to provide cover while key staff are on long term leave. You will work with key planning services to ensure deliver of work load, including work with planning policy and development management. Key Responsibilities: Lead on implementing, monitoring, and managing developer contributions (CIL and Section 106), including collection and distribution of funds. Ensure financial and non-financial contributions are spent or delivered in line with legal requirements, infrastructure priorities, and the Local Development Plan. Oversee reporting on CIL and Section 106, including preparing and publishing the Infrastructure Funding Statement in line with corporate and national requirements. What the client is looking for: Degree, or equivalent, in a relevant field, or a minimum of five years’ relevant experience of monitoring and information management in relation to the specialist area of planning or Section 106 /CIL At least 3 years work experience in a professional role working with information and monitoring systems preferably planning related Ability to build strong partnerships and drive collaboration with stakeholders to achieve shared solutions. Experience in drafting clear, accurate, and complex reports, correspondence, and technical documentation. Track record of applying creativity and sound judgment to deliver effective, practical outcomes. Strong understanding of planning legislation, Government planning policy, and guidance.
