Rolls-Royce is looking for an accomplished and visionary Project Director to lead the successful delivery of complex, high-value engineering or infrastructure programmes. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered to scope, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, safety, and stakeholder satisfaction.
You will provide strategic oversight, inspire multidisciplinary teams, and manage key external and internal relationships across the programme lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of major engineering or capital projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with governance frameworks.
* Develop and execute project strategies, business cases, and integrated delivery plans.
* Build and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, procurement, finance, and operations.
* Engage and manage senior stakeholders, including clients, regulators, suppliers, and executive leadership.
* Monitor and control programme performance, risk, and change, ensuring corrective actions are implemented as needed.
* Drive a culture of excellence in safety, sustainability, and innovation throughout project execution.
* Represent the project at senior governance forums and support broader portfolio and strategic initiatives.
Key Requirements:
* Significant experience in leading complex, multi-disciplinary programmes or major capital projects in engineering, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of contract management, procurement, and financial control.
* Proven ability to build trust and influence at executive level, both internally and externally.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Engineering, Project Management, related discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Professional certifications such as Chartered Project Professional (ChPP), APM, PMI, PMP or equivalent are highly desirable.
* Experience in regulated industries such as defence, energy, nuclear and aerospace is advantageous.
