HGV Class 1 Driver – General Haulage Company: Millison Chase Limited Job Type: Full-time / Temporary Ongoing Salary Days: £16.00 per hour Nights: £17.00 per hour Weekends: £20.00 per hour Millison Chase Limited is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for general haulage work on behalf of our client. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and professional drivers looking for ongoing work with competitive rates of pay. The Role As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to commercial customers across designated routes. Routes will vary and can involve between 1 and 15 deliveries or collections per shift depending on the area and workload. Duties will include: Driving a Class 1 (Category CE) vehicle safely and professionally. Completing between 1 and 15 deliveries and collections per day depending on the route. Loading and unloading vehicles where required. Using a pallet truck to move goods. Securing loads using straps and other appropriate methods. Completing daily vehicle checks and relevant paperwork. Adhering to all road transport legislation and company procedures. Maintaining high standards of customer service at delivery and collection points. Requirements Valid HGV Class 1 (Category CE) Licence. Valid Driver CPC qualification. Digital Tachograph Card. Good understanding of drivers’ hours and working time regulations. Previous general haulage experience preferred. A positive attitude and strong work ethic. Good communication skills and a professional approach to work. What We Offer Competitive hourly rates.
