Are you a strategic leader with a proven track record in housing repairs and maintenance? Regen Solutions is seeking a Head of Repairs and Maintenance for a leading property and environment services provider. This is a pivotal senior role responsible for directing all responsive repairs, voids, and compliance programs.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the Director, you will hold overarching accountability for the delivery of high-quality service, cost control, and contractual requirements. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team covering Repairs, Voids, Joinery, Glazing, the Call Centre, and critical Compliance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership: Direct and plan all responsive repairs, project programs, and central depot functions.
* Compliance & Safety: Ensure all works meet legislative standards (e.g., Gas, Electric, Asbestos) and maintain rigorous Health and Safety practices.
* Financial Oversight: Undertake costing, profitability, and productivity analysis to ensure schemes are delivered to time and value.
* Performance Management: Lead the staff appraisal scheme, drive training initiatives, and manage productivity incentive schemes through transparent audit trails.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, local councillors, and Senior Management while ensuring high levels of resident satisfaction.
* Operational Excellence: Manage out-of-hours emergency services and deputize for the Director when required.
About You:
We are looking for a professional who embodies core service values and possesses the technical expertise to manage complex housing services.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience: A proven background in a management position responsible for housing repairs and maintenance services.
* Knowledge: Extensive understanding of Schedule of Rates, British Standards, and the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
* Skills: Strong people management, ability to produce technical feasibility studies, and IT literacy.
* Leadership: Ability to coach and develop staff while managing multi-disciplinary projects.
* Logistics: A full valid driving licence and the willingness to attend meetings outside of normal working hours.
Desirable Attributes:
* Professional membership of or working towards a relevant professional qualification.
* Experience in tendering for third-party works, business cases, and contracts.
