£90-£110 per day
Are you passionate about fostering positive behaviour and supporting students to overcome challenges in their learning?
We are looking for dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant's to join our supportive student services team.
In this crucial role, you will work proactively with pupils, teachers, and families to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour, improve engagement, and create a calm and focused learning environment for all. You will play a vital part in helping students develop the skills and self-regulation needed to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing targeted support to pupils who exhibit challenging behaviours, both on a one-to-one and small group basis.
Implementing behaviour management strategies and interventions as outlined in student support plans.
Working closely with teaching staff to support them in managing behaviour effectively in the classroom.
Building positive and consistent relationships with pupils, acting as a mentor and positive influence.
Contributing to the development and review of individual behaviour plans (IBPs).
Liaising with parents/carers, SENCO, and external agencies to ensure a consistent and collaborative approach to behaviour support.
Monitoring and recording student behaviour, contributing to the evaluation of interventions.
Supporting students during unstructured times, such as breaks and lunchtimes.
Contributing to the development of a positive behaviour culture across the school.We are looking for individuals who:
Have a genuine interest in understanding and addressing the root causes of challenging behaviour in young people.
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and work effectively with adults.
Are patient, resilient, and able to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations.
Have experience working with children or young people in a behaviour support, educational, or youth work setting (desirable).
Have a good understanding of different behaviour management techniques and strategies.
Are proactive, well-organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Have good record-keeping and basic IT skills.The role
