An established geotechnical and piling contractor is seeking a technically strong Design Estimating Engineer to join their regional team in the South Central area. This is a key role that blends technical design, estimating, and client engagement for a wide range of piling and foundation projects across the region.
You'll take a lead in developing cost-effective, technically robust solutions for tenders and live projects, working with clients from early enquiry through to order and post-award technical support. Design Estimating Engineer Job Overview
1. Lead and deliver design work for various piling techniques including bearing, tension, laterally loaded piles, and retaining structures.
2. Prepare designs for both tender and contract stages, including post-award redesigns and site modifications.
3. Estimate and prepare competitive tenders that maximise opportunity success.
4. Evaluate incoming piling enquiries and assess technical suitability.
5. Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve site or technical issues.
6. Maintain design accountability through project handover and delivery.
