Our client is looking for a Selective Licensing Assistant (Secretarial and Administration) to work in the the TS17 area. Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm 05/05/26 -18/07/2026 Flexibility is necessary for evening/weekend meetings Main Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Administer/deliver the Tenant Referencing Scheme - Process applications within the prescribed timescale - Undertake all administrative activities to complete the selective licencing process - Provide specialist advice and information to homeowners, landlords, managing agents and tenants. - Assist with compliance inspections to licenced properties - Contribute to, and report on monitoring and evaluation requirements Essential Qualifications, Experience, Skills: - 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (Grade C/equivalent) - Experience of project implementation and delivery - Experience of managing a varied and demanding workload - Ability to prioritise due to changing circumstances - Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team - Experience of dealing with the public (telephone and face to face) - Excellent communication skills - orally and in writing with a range of people, particularly public and private organisations, - Proven competency to collate, interpret and communicate complex technical information - Fully IT literate with experience of working with Microsoft Office - Must be able to vary working hours to incorporate limited evening and weekend meetings as required - Must be able to travel independently to carryout requirements of the role Desired Qualifications, Experience, Skills: - Demonstrable level of knowledge gained through directly relevant work experience - NVQ Level 3 or equivalent -Experience in consulting and engaging with elected Members, external organisations, businesses and the wider community. - Experience of providing advice and guidance - Understanding of private sector housing
