About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer specializing in Process Control to support the safe and efficient operation of our oil and gas facilities.
This is a unique opportunity to shape and strengthen process control capability. You will play a key role in developing and optimizing the process control philosophy during the engineering phase, ensuring robust, safe, and efficient operations.
The primary location for this role is Oslo (Fornebu), Norway, but we also welcome candidates based elsewhere in Europe, particularly in the UK, Italy, and France.

Key Responsibilities
5. Develop, implement, and optimize process control strategies for oil and gas production and processing facilities
6. Prepare and maintain process control documentation, including control narratives, Cause & Effect charts, and P&IDs
7. Act as a checker for SCDs and logic diagrams produced by others
8. Support facility startups, shutdowns, and commissioning activities
9. Support process safety initiatives, including alarm management, safety instrumented systems (SIS), and HAZOP recommendations
10. Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and company safety policies
11. Support continuous improvement initiatives
12. Collaborate with suppliers and clients on the development of documentation to ensure robust process control systems are in place
13. Act as a link between the Process Engineering team and the Instrumentation team
Qualifications & Skills
Essential Qualifications:
14. Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related engineering discipline
15. 8–15 years of experience in process engineering and process control in oil & gas
16. Solid understanding of process control principles and PID loop tuning, with a strong emphasis on overall system behavior and understanding
17. Understanding of how process properties influence process control
18. Fluent in English
Desired Qualifications:
19. Ability to analyze and discuss process control challenges, including evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of different solutions
20. Experience troubleshooting production systems such as MEG, TEG, PWT, and water injection is an advantage
21. Experience with non-continuous processes (., filtration or centrifugation) and their integration with continuous systems such as MEG units is an advantage
