Environmental Consultant Location: London Penguin Recruitment is working on behalf of a leading, independent planning and development consultancy to recruit an Environmental Consultant to join their established London team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of high profile development and infrastructure projects across sectors including residential, commercial, mixed-use, energy, and major regeneration. You'll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment where environmental considerations are central to shaping sustainable development outcomes. The Role As an Environmental Consultant, your responsibilities will include: Supporting and managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and environmental reports Coordinating inputs from technical specialists and external consultants Preparing screening and scoping reports, Environmental Statements, and supporting documentation Liaising with local authorities, statutory consultees, and project stakeholders Advising clients and internal teams on environmental planning strategy and risk Assisting with project management, programme delivery, and quality assurance About You The ideal Environmental Consultant will have: A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Geography, or a related discipline Relevant experience in environmental consultancy, planning, or EIA coordination A good understanding of UK environmental and planning legislation Strong written and verbal communication skills The ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams Professional membership with IEMA or working towards chartership Why Apply?
