HVAC Engineer FGAS Location: Near Brackley
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Salary: £40,000 - £44,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
The Opportunity Hays is working with a well-established facilities management provider to recruit an experienced HVAC Engineer for a site-based role maintaining a large commercial estate.Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will join a small, professional HVAC team. While support is available, the role will largely involve lone working, so confidence, independence and strong technical capability are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HVAC systems
Respond to reactive maintenance and breakdowns
Fault-find, diagnose and repair HVAC plant and equipment
Complete minor installation, refurbishment and upgrade works
Ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales and KPIs
Accurately complete all job documentation via PDA or paper job sheets
Maintain strict Health & Safety standards, ensuring RAMS are in place
Essential Requirements
City & Guilds qualification in Air Conditioning (or equivalent)
F-Gas Category 1 qualification - MUST have
Proven experience in HVAC maintenance and repair
Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations
Full UK driving licence
Reliable, punctual and self-motivated approach
Good communication skills and a professional manner
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience working within commercial facilities management
Hydrocarbon refrigerant qualification
Additional First Aid or Health & Safety certifications
