What We’re Looking For
1. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
2. 7–15 years of structural engineering experience
3. Strong background in wood construction
4. Residential and multifamily project experience
5. California project experience preferred
6. AutoCAD required; Revit experience preferred
7. Client-facing and service-oriented mindset
8. Ability to lead projects independently
Role Overview
The Senior Project Engineer leads the structural design and calculations for construction documents. This role is responsible for making key design decisions, coordinating with clients, and guiding internal team members throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
9. Lead engineering analysis and design of wood-framed structures
10. Develop project layouts, load paths, and structural concepts
11. Prepare and review plan markups and structural details
12. Establish loading criteria and design approach
13. Perform quality control reviews of plans and calculations
14. Coordinate with architects, consultants, and clients
15. Prepare calculations, reports, and construction documents
16. Mentor and support junior engineers
17. Attend client meetings and site visits as required
18. Review submittals and respond to RFIs
19. Maintain company standards and procedures
Qualifications
20. BS in Civil or Structural Engineering
21. 7–15 years relevant experience
22. PE license required (SE a plus)
23. Strong knowledge of wood framing systems
24. Experience leading residential or multifamily projects
25. Proficiency in structural software
26. Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit preferred
27. Strong communication and leadership skills
