The school is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team in October 2025. You will support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will help deliver tailored interventions and ensure pupils can access the curriculum effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing one-to-one and small group support
Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
Supporting pupils' emotional and social development
Collaborating with staff and external professionalsWhat you'll need to succeed
Experience working with children with SEN in a school setting
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, SEN-specific training) is desirable.
A current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for oneWhat you'll get in return
