Responsibilities
of a Senior Team Leader:
1. You will ensure your team is complying to our company policy as set out by the General Manager
2. You will ensure your team is working safely and responsibly by monitoring and auditing against Environmental & health and safety legislation, this includes but is not limited to Hand arm vibration monitoring, effective use of LEV monitoring, COSHH adherence and emergency spill response monitoring.
3. You will ensure that all accidents, incidents, near misses, dangerous occurrences are reported and investigated in a timely manner inclusive of corrective actions
4. You will ensure daily shift briefings are being conducted in accordance with SHEQ information & guidance
5. You will ensure that risk assessments and daily audits are undertaken and that any resulting actions are undertaken as a priority.
6. You will ensure that Personal Protective Equipment is being used correctly by any person working on behalf of the company and within your department.
7. You must on a regular basis conduct sample inspections of plant and equipment within your department including but not limited to vibrating equipment, ladders, lifting gear, platforms, and cranes to ensure they are correctly tagged and are within the prescribed inspection and testing dates
8. You must ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained, contributing to a safe working environment.
9. You will ensure that guards and screens provided for both manual and machine operations are being used effectively.
Knowledge & skills required:
10. Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety Legislation and additional MTL requirements
11. Understanding of Company quality procedures and specific customer requirements
12. Ability to work effectively and use own initiative
13. Ability to lead and manage others to achieve desired results
