Are you a flat roofer who would like to make a positive contribution to Sheffield people?
At Sheffield City Council we’re currently seeking qualified flat roofers to join our city-wide team on the Repairs & Maintenance Service and help us to continue to deliver excellent results to our customers.
Our operatives work varies depending on seasonal demand. We are specifically looking for flat roofers to undertake flat roof repairs to domestic properties across Sheffield. This could include full roof renewals on various dwellings such as bungalows, outhouses and communal flats. You should also be able to use liquid roofing solutions/rubber roof systems as well as carrying out repairs on walkways and balconies.
Due to seasonal variations, during periods of inclement weather, you must be willing to carry out alternative duties.
We pride ourselves on providing a responsive, efficient, and professional service and if you would like to be a part of that, we want to hear from you.
There are lots of benefits to working with us:
1. All our jobs are in Sheffield, so there’s no need to travel far.
2. We provide your transport in our fleet of vehicles.
3. We provide all the PPE you need to work.
4. Health and Safety is a high priority for us, as reflected in our excellent safety record.
5. On top of that we offer a great paid annual leave allowance of 26 days moving to 31 after 5 years’ service.
6. the opportunity to join a generous pension scheme.
That’s not all - when you work with us you receive an ongoing training package to make sure your skills stay up-to-date, and if you need to renew certificates to remain compliant in your trade, we provide that too.
