POSITION: Sales Director - EMEA LOCATION: Head Office, Rossendale, Lancashire (with extensive travel) REPORTING TO: Chief Sales & Marketing Officer PAY & BENEFITS: Attractive Salary and Commission Structure, 33 Days Annual Leave (rising with service), Enhanced Pension Contributions, Life Insurance, Private Health Care, Company Car / Allowance, Gym Membership, EAP, Cycle to Work Scheme BACKGROUND: Electricity demand across the UK and Europe is rising rapidly, driven by grid reinforcement, renewable integration, electrification of transport and industry, data centre growth, and increasing requirements for network resilience. SLINGCO operates at the centre of this transformation. We design and manufacture engineered cable-handling and pulling solutions used in safety-critical applications across power transmission, utilities, data centres, offshore, and industrial energy markets - where performance is non-negotiable. With over 40 years of heritage, customers in more than 60 countries, and continued investment in energy transition infrastructure, SLINGCO is growing rapidly. THE OPPORTUNITY: We are seeking a Sales Director - EMEA, with primary responsibility for UK and Europe, to lead and grow our regional business. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role combining front-line sales with team development and strategic growth responsibility. You will shape and execute sales strategy across the UK and Europe, build and deepen relationships with utilities, EPCs, distributors, and contractors, and drive sustainable revenue growth in a fast-moving, opportunity-rich market. As a key member of the management team, you will lead a growing UK-based sales team while personally owning and closing major accounts. ABOUT THE ROLE: This is a true player-coach role. You will be expected to: • Lead from the front, close new business and manage key customer relationships. • Develop and motivate a high-performing sales team. • Build effective sales channels across multiple European markets. • Identify new product and market opportunities in collaboration with engineering and product teams. • Operate in a growth environment that values urgency, accountability, and results. The role requires approximately 50% travel, both UK and international, prioritised by opportunity. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: You will be a commercially driven sales leader with: • A strong background selling tangible products in industrial or industrial technology markets (utility or power sector experience is desirable). • Extensive experience in business development through distributors, wholesalers, OEMs, and large end users. • Proven ability to grow territories, close complex deals, and exceed targets. • The confidence and credibility to operate at senior customer and partner levels. • Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills. • A hands-on, proactive mindset with the ability to motivate and develop others. • A full driving licence is required. • A degree in a relevant business or engineering discipline is preferred.
