Position: Adult Homelessness Support Worker
Location: St Albans
Salary: £25,857 per annum
Hours: Full-time (37.5) hours per week
Join our compassionate team at Open Door, a night shelter supporting people experiencing homelessness. We provide a safe, inclusive environment where individuals feel respected, supported and empowered to work towards greater independence.
The Role
Assess needs and create personalised support plans
Promote life skills such as budgeting and cleaning
Support individuals to access services, appointments and opportunities
Provide trauma-informed, person-centred support
Carry out building checks to ensure safety and security
Work collaboratively with another Support Worker on shiftHours
Full-time 37.5 hours per week, worked on a rota across weekdays and weekends.
Late shift: 2pm-10pm

You are caring, adaptable and confident communicating with people from diverse backgrounds. You work well both independently and as part of a team, and you are committed to delivering respectful, inclusive support.
