THIS IS A FULL TIME POSITION INCLUDES ON CALL DUTIES
As a Deputy Manager you will be supporting the Registered Manager in overseeing services within Sutton but this can expand to other areas as the business develop. You will work very closely with the Care Provider, and all its partners in line with the company visions and philosophy of care.
The main focus of your work will support the Registered Manager in providing leadership to the administration, care, and support functions of the (business) service. You will also be required to deputise for the function of the Registered Manager during their absence.
You will be required to manage the service in accordance with standards agreed with the Registered Manager, the Registered Provider, legislative requirements, and relevant regulations and in line with accepted best practice, and within the financial plans agreed, from time-to-time, with the Registered Provider.
The post holder will be expected to take on new projects as of when the need arises. It is also a requirement of this role that you will participate in the Services on call rota

The Deputy Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Ensure service users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
2. The efficient and effective day-to-day management of the resources involved in providing care through the staff team and ensuring that the required standards are maintained
3. Ensuring all recording systems and organisational documentation are of a high standard and kept up to date
4. Share On-Call out-of-hours responsibilities with the care team, responding to any developing situation with appropriate management oversite and coordination
5. Working with the Registered Manager team to ensure that all contractual and regulatory requirements are met, understanding and keeping up to date with the requirements of all relevant legislation and managing the regulated activity in accordance with them
6. Take responsibility for your own professional development through performance and development reviews and undertake any relevant training
7. Ensure client data are maintained and kept up to date including assisting in activities such as Spot Checks, Care Plans and Mental Capacity Planning
8. Ensure that the service meets the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and CQC Fundamental Standards. This includes maintaining high-quality service delivery and ensuring safety for all service users
9. Oversee the duty rota monthly in advance ensuring the correct skills and numbers on duty
10. To ensure all staff at the service receive formal supervision and appraisals
