Your new role
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the day-to-day financial management of the business
2. Deliver accurate, timely financial reports to support strategic decisions
3. Implement and maintain robust management accounting systems
4. Ensure fullpliance with tax regulations and liaise with HMRC
5. Prepare annual accounts to trial balance for external accountants
6. Manage the general ledger, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets
7. Oversee credit control, debt recovery, and debtor ledger
8. Administer payroll-related journals, including pensions,missions, and statutory payments
9. Ensure auto-enrolmentpliance with external providers
10. Handle sales and purchase ledgers, including client and supplier payments
11. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations on a regular schedule
12. Produce monthly and YTD budget vs actual reports
13. Submit quarterly VAT and tax returns
14. Manage petty cash
15. Generate monthly and ad hoc financial reports across business functions
What you'll need to succeed
16. You will have experience of running the day-to-day bookkeeping and financial transactions of a busy SME/OMB organisation.
17. Both AAT Qualified and Qualified by Experience candidates are encouraged to apply
18. You will pride yourself on being highly organised and thorough in your approach.
19. You will be self-motivated and able to self-manage, whilst liaising with and keeping the Directors informed.
What you'll get in return
20. Full-time, permanent contract (an immediate start is available, but notice is expected)
21. Salary £32-36,000
22. Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30-5:15 with an hour for lunch
23. Role is office-based, in modern smart offices with free parking on site.
24. Holidays: 25 plus bank holidays
25. Quarterly & Annual Bonus scheme (post-probation)
