Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental (HSQE) Advisor
We are seeking a HSQE Advisor to join our client, a leading supplier of fabricated steel bridges, steel composite bridges, and specialist steel refurbishment contractors. Based in Lanarkshire, this role offers the opportunity to work on various projects, including on-site strengthening, specialist installation, and heavy fabrication of rail, road, and footbridges.
The HSQE Advisor will ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations, support a proactive safety culture, and provide guidance on best practices across rail, highways, and civil engineering projects. This role is suitable for individuals starting their safety career or with some experience in industries such as civil engineering, rail, or highways. Candidates should ideally hold a NEBOSH certificate or be willing to obtain one. Training will be provided as needed.

Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, quality, and environmental policies for relevant projects.
* Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.
* Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to identify hazards and implement controls.
* Support health, safety, and environmental training for employees and subcontractors.
* Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
* Provide guidance to site teams and management to promote best practices.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to improve workplace safety and compliance.
* Ensure training and certifications are current.
* Conduct audits with external bodies to verify compliance.
Requirements
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in civil engineering, rail, highways, or construction preferred.
* Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
* Ability to conduct risk assessments and site audits effectively.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Full UK driving license.
