What You Will Do
* Lead the development of data analytics insights to drive decision-making and improve business performance.
* Collaborate with various business stakeholders to identify data needs, generate actionable insights and support strategic initiatives.
* Design and implement data models, visualisations and reporting dashboards that provide clear insights into business performance and help communicate business impact.
* Manage, mentor and support a team of data analysts, ensuring their continuous development and alignment with business goals.
* You will play a part in building out our growing analytical capabilities and toolset, including SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, Python and R.
* Any other duties as required that reasonably fall within the role.

What You Will Need
* As an experienced data generalist, you have the technical skills to pull and manipulate data combined with the soft skills to coordinate the team and deliver real value to the business:
* Strong data capabilities in addition to sound business acumen and commercial capabilities.
* Advanced proficiency in SQL and other analytical tools for data analysis and manipulation.
* Expertise in data visualisation tools such as Power BI, or similar platforms.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders and team members.
* Attention to detail whilst dealing with high volumes of work.
* You're a self-starter - you can independently drive the team's work forward, finding and exploiting opportunities where data analytics can impact business objectives.
* You're a story-teller – you can bring to life, using non-technical and visualisation techniques, to influence stakeholders towards your recommendations.
* Proven experience in building end-to-end analytics and data projects
* Strong knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, data modelling and experience using the best tool for the job.
* Knowledge of financial services, particularly in the UK banking sector (desirable).
* Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application in predictive analytics (desirable)
* Essential role-specific qualifications
* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related subject such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics – or equivalent work experience (essential).
* Data Analytics, Data Science and Data Engineering -related certificates or qualifications (desirable)
