Description

Are you an organised individual? Do you have Paws-itivity to co-ordinate and manage all volunteer opportunities for our Rehoming Centre?

As our Volunteer Coordinator, you will be involved in recruiting, selecting, and inducting our volunteers. You will play a key role in promoting best practices and standards as part of our charity-wide volunteering strategy.

The role is part-time for 18.75 hours per week.



What does this role do?

As Volunteer Coordinator, you’ll:

* Build strong relationships with staff across the centre, the Volunteering Development team, and the wider organisation to ensure an excellent volunteer experience.
* Coordinate volunteer support across services, liaising with the Supporter Relations Officer for fundraising activities, the Home from Home Coordinator for fostering support, and, where appropriate, with the Dogs Trust Charity Shop Managers regarding shared volunteers.



Could this be you?

The ideal candidate will understand customer care and the role of volunteers, including their integration, management, and motivation. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, strong leadership abilities, and the capacity to engage diverse groups are essential. A positive attitude, a methodical work approach, and the ability to work independently are required. A passion for the mission of Dogs Trust is vital.

A full, manual driving licence is essential, as driving will be part of the role.
