What the day will look like
As a Personal Accident & Travel Underwriter some of your key responsibilities will involve:
1. Underwriting business in accordance with delegated underwriting authority, including providing quotations for renewals, new business and policy alterations, with referral internally or to carrier as required,
2. Binding and issuance of cover
3. To promote the AonProtect products and services,
4. Support Underwriting Manager in achieving the business plan/budget,
5. Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and carriers,
6. Work with internal and external parties in the development of thepany's business as directed,
7. Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, andpliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (includingpletion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Grouppany.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Education
8. Ideally, 'A' level or above
9. Ideally, Cert CII or above
Professional qualification and skills
10. Experience of Underwriting risks in either and Insurancepany or MGA is essential
11. A good level of technical knowledge - Accident and Health Markets is required
12. Good organisational skills,
13. Able to work pro-actively without direct supervision, as well as part of a team,
14. Effectivemunicator, with excellent written and oralmunication skills,
15. Literate and numerate,
16. Ability to achieve enquiry targets,
17. Enthusiasm to learn/develop in the role,
18. Accurate and timely in throughput of work,
19. Able to establish and maintain effective relationships with brokers and carriers.
