Maintenance Assistant
Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for keeping things running smoothly?
We're looking for a Maintenance Assistant to be the heartbeat of our residential care home for older people in Stowmarket.
In this role, no two days are the same! You'll be at the centre of ensuring our home is safe, welcoming, and well-maintained, handling everything from basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks to general upkeep of the building and grounds. You'll also play a vital part in supporting health and safety, conducting fire tests, and helping with essential training for our staff.

Are you able to:
* Provide a high-quality maintenance service;
* Carry out general household maintenance;
* Maintain and develop the grounds of the home to provide an attractive living space for our residents;
* Perform routine decoration work to a good standard;
* Perform small-scale building tasks (fitting and adapting) to a reasonable standard;
* Perform maintenance work to equipment and appliances;
* Maintain records as required by your manager;
* Attend meetings and training activities including fire and evacuation procedures, health and safety etc. as required; and
* In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, you are required to perform other duties assigned by the Business Manager from time to time that are within your capabilities.

Hours:
Part-Time: 12 hours a week, preferably worked over three mornings Mon-Fri.
