Responsibilities:
1. Managing your own portfolio of high value claims (c.100 claims) including gathering information to facilitate early liability decisions and considering economic settlements.
2. Acting as a technical referral point to junior claims colleagues, providing guidance through referral replies, and helping develop their technical skills.
3. Supporting our Bodily Injury Unit through mentoring, training, and other initiatives to enhance technical capabilities.
4. Conducting technical audits as directed, recording findings, and identifying knowledge gaps or trends.
5. Referring cases over your financial handling authority to your mentor at scheduled times.
6. Managing your own professional development by setting and working towards a personal development plan with your team leader.
Desired Skills and Experience:
1. Extensive knowledge and experience in settling claims exceeding £25k, including litigation experience.
2. Experience in coaching and developing colleagues, with strong teamwork skills.
3. Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with strong problem-solving abilities.
