Hays HR is delighted to be working with a well-established organisation based in Sheffield to recruit an experienced Employee Relations Advisor on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This is a hybrid role,bining home working with on-site presence in Sheffield.
The roleAs Employee Relations Advisor, you will provide high-quality, pragmatic ER support to managers across the organisation. You will manage a busy and varied caseload, ensuring employee relations issues are handled consistently, fairly and in line with employment legislation and organisational policy.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing end-to-end employee relations casework, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, capability and performance issues
2. Advising and coaching managers on ER best practice and employment law
3. Supporting investigations, hearings and appeals, including preparation of relevant documentation
4. Ensuring a consistent approach to ER matters across the organisation
5. Contributing to the review and improvement of ER processes and policies
What you’ll need to succeed
6. CIPD Level 5 qualification (essential)
7. Significant experience across all aspects of employee relations casework, with the ability to manage cases autonomously
8. Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
9. Confidentmunicator, able to influence and challenge appropriately
10. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and sound judgement
