Contentious Construction Associate - Bristol
Chadwick Nott are instructed on an exciting opportunity for a contentious construction lawyer to join an award winning, Top 50 UK law firm with one of the largest and most respected Construction & Engineering practices in the country. The team is consistently recognised with Tier 1 rankings in Legal 500 and Band 1 rankings in Chambers UK, acting on major national and international projects across infrastructure, energy, transport and real estate.
The Role
You will join a cutting edge Construction & Engineering team, working closely with leading experts who are truly experts in their field. The role focuses on high value, complex construction disputes, including:
* Litigation in the Technology & Construction Court
* Adjudications
* Domestic and international arbitration
* Pre Action Protocol matters
* Strategic advisory work throughout the project lifecycle
* Mediation, expert determination and other industry specific procedures
You’ll be part of a growing contentious offering, with real responsibility from day one and exposure to top tier clients across key sectors.
Candidate Requirements
* 3+ PQE in contentious construction
* Strong experience handling complex, high value disputes
* Confident across a range of dispute resolution methods
* Ability to manage a varied caseload with autonomy
* Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues is advantageous
* Must be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales or Scotland
