Finance Director | High-Growth Tech Company | London
£150,000 plus bonus and equity
I’m supporting a rapidly scaling tech company that’s recognized as one of the fastest-growing start-ups in its sector. Backed by top-tier investors, the business is expanding globally and is preparing for the next phase of growth.
This newly created Finance Director role is a critical hire, partnering directly with the CFO and leadership team to scale the finance function, improve performance reporting, and support strategic decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting & Control: Lead the preparation of GAAP/IFRS-compliant financial statements and ensure a rigorous internal control environment.
* Systems & Infrastructure: Own the selection, implementation, and optimization of the company’s tech stack, including leading an ERP migration (NetSuite or similar).
* Tax & Compliance: Manage global tax strategy, VAT/sales tax compliance, and corporate tax filings across multiple jurisdictions.
* Audit Management: Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.
* Treasury & Cash Management: Oversee liquidity, manage banking relationships, and implement automated cash flow tracking systems.
* Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, filling talent gaps as the business scales.
What We’re Looking For:
* ACA-qualified (or equivalent) with proven experience in scaling financial controls in a high-growth environment.
* Strong track record in leading transformation projects, including ERP implementation and process automation.
* Experience managing statutory and tax compliance for multiple entities.
* Ability to build and mentor a world-class finance team, with a hands-on approach to driving operational excellence.
* Familiarity with SaaS and/or tech industries would be a bonus.
