Senior Operations Manager
Contract Type: Permanent – 45 hours

Key Responsibilities
* Hold overall accountability for all Hub operations, acting as the primary point of contact for all hub‑related matters and sort activity.
* Lead, develop, and manage central Hub functions for the Evri Premium network, ensuring all KPIs for productivity, service, and cost are consistently achieved.
* Foster a positive, solutions‑focused approach to volume management through strong collaboration with the commercial team. Make balanced decisions on sort allocation for both base and new volumes.
* Work closely with the Head of Sort and Head of Fleet & Linehaul to determine the most efficient sort paths, delivering optimal cost outcomes and outstanding customer service.
* Recruit, motivate, and manage Hub Management teams to ensure consistent operational controls, following Evri Premium standards and protocols.
* Share insights with network operations management on local sort activity to maximise overall network capability.
* Build and nurture a high‑performing management team that delivers robust operational control across all Hub activity.
* Translate business strategy into operational reality by developing and implementing plans, measures, and budgets to meet defined results.
* Challenge management teams to deliver effective and cost‑efficient Hub processing solutions aligned with Evri Premium standards and business needs.
* Identify performance, cost, and service improvement opportunities, initiating and overseeing action plans across all UK Hubs.
* Develop and own strategies, policies, and standards within your area of responsibility.
* Ensure strong communication between departments and business units to support a culture of continuous improvement.
* Provide leadership support to management teams across the UK Hub network, motivating them to achieve business objectives.

What We’re Looking For
* Proven senior leadership experience within the logistics, parcels, or mail sector
* Strong background in managing large‑scale, fast‑paced, time‑critical operational environments
* Experience operating at a strategic level and reporting directly into senior leadership
* A natural leader capable of driving performance, engagement, and operational excellence across multiple sites
* A degree in logistics, engineering, technology, management, or a related field (desirable but not essential)
* Extensive knowledge of the UK logistics, parcel, and mail market
* Demonstrable experience leading complex operational teams across expanded territories
