This role is for the most dynamic and passionate finance professionals of engineering/manufacturing who are prepared to make a huge difference. This Finance Director will be pivotal to underpinning an incredible growth agenda.
Main responsibilities:
* Part of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting into and working closely with the Managing Director, this is a key role in a small dynamic organisation, with overall responsibility for financial management, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in reporting and analysis.
* Leveraging the use of the MRP system, the Finance Director will deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, group reporting, and board-level analysis.
* You will monitor financial performance and proactively implement cost-saving initiatives where necessary, always driving continuous improvement across systems, controls, business efficiencies, forecasting and reporting processes.
* You will support the business through its next phase of growth by building a finance infrastructure capable of supporting private equity expectations and future growth ambitions.
The candidate profile:
* A qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, preferably CIMA), you have experience leading a team in finance management within an agile manufacturing SME.
* You have proven experience preparing management accounts to a high standard in a hands-on role, in an international environment.
* Ideally you have exposure to private equity, business transformation, investment readiness, or IPO/exit preparation. The successful individual will be commercially minded, hands-on, and capable of building a scalable finance function to support continued growth.
