We have a new opportunity for a Construction Manager with experience in utilities projects to join our Clients project at a facility near Reading.
The role will be to provide client-side support to utility infrastructure upgrade projects through their lifecycles and include developing construction methodology and construction schedule integration in line with the design and supply chain availability.
The role requires Security Clearance at DV level, although clearance at SC with the willingness and ability to increase to DV would be an option.
The ability to obtain clearance is essential 10 years continuous residency in the UK and UK Citizenship is required.
Key Responsibilities
Champion safety culture and ensure adherence to safe systems of work
Co-ordination with, and management of all supply chain contractors
Co-ordination with various stakeholders, client, designer, engineering, commercial etc. to ensure progression and adherence to the programme
Writing of pre-construction information and scopes for sub-contractors
Provide input and support to the construction sequencing of the projects with all suppliers and directing the co-ordination of activities on site
Management of project interfaces with other client operations
Interface with wider construction delivery teams
Ensuring delivery of a safe, right first-time outcome
Candidate Requirements:
Significant experience delivering civil engineering projects in a regulated environment
Utility project experience, water projects would be a particular benefit
Excellent awareness of CDM, construction practices and health and safety legislation
Knowledge of NEC contracts
Able to promote the pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement, driving innovation, adopting best practice, standard processes and procedures
Must hold a black CSCS card preferably in civil engineering
CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent is preferred
Lifting AP beneficial but not a requirement
TWC beneficial but not a requirement
