Job Description

Job purpose

We are seeking a motivated and charismatic individual to join our admissions team on a full-time basis. This role will primarily focus on student recruitment, particularly engaging with prospective students from countries in Africa and the Middle East. The ideal candidate will have sales experience, be willing to travel to African and Middle Eastern countries regularly, and be fluent in Arabic, with fluency in other languages being desirable.

Beyond recruitment, this role involves maintaining strong relationships with the students you have recruited, as well as their families, once they join Ashbourne. The successful candidate will help ensure a consistent cohort of 25 students from Africa and the Middle East at the college while fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.

About Ashbourne

Established over 40 years ago, Ashbourne is one of the top private colleges for A levels in the UK, distinguished by exam results, individual attention, and excellent facilities. It aims to be the best college overall for A levels in the UK.

Ethos and culture

At Ashbourne, there are no uniforms, no assemblies, and no school dinners. Relations between teachers and students are informal, vital, and strong, encouraged by small classes and a lack of formality.

The college is selective, reserving the right to deny progression from year 12 to 13 if academic standards are not met. All students are expected to work hard with a '100%' homework submission rule and a shared ethos of aiming high.

About the College

It is a sixth form college where almost all students pursue A levels, seeking a more mature approach to education with more independence. The college offers a different, informal approach compared to traditional schools.

Academic performance is among the top private colleges in London, with high value-added rankings. Small class sizes support individual attention, with personal tutors monitoring student progress. Welfare is prioritized, with strict policies against bad behavior and bullying.

Located near Kensington Gardens, the college benefits from a prime location in London with diverse student body, offering a wide range of academic and extracurricular opportunities, including scholarships and intensive courses.

Duties and Responsibilities

2. Develop and maintain relationships with partners, agents, and schools.
3. Travel to African and Middle Eastern countries for recruitment events and student engagement.

2. Serve as the primary contact for recruited students and their parents.
3. Coordinate with tutors and support staff to ensure student wellbeing.
4. Organize activities to help students integrate and feel supported.
