CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBLE ENGINEER POSITION : Contractors Responsible Engineer ( CRE) Civil / Structural Design LOCATION : Commutable from York, Leeds, Doncaster, Sheffield, Lincoln, Grimsby, Hull, Selby SALARY AND BENEFITS : Generous package to include car or allowance healthcare bonus THE ROLE : This is a great opportunity to join a respected and well established main contractor in the rail sector. They are looking to add an experienced CRE (Contractors Responsible Engineer) from a design background to their team. This will involve working in their office, with some some home working and site visits. YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLLOWING : A degree in a relevant Engineering subject Previous experience working as a CRE ( Contractors Responsible Engineer) responsible for design in the rail sector Significant Civil /Structural experience, Chartered status is preferrable DUTIES TO INCLUDE : Acting as Design CRE for Civil and Structural Engineering works Management of the Design process in accordance with NR/L2/CIV/003 Ensure all Design work is in accordance with the the relevant Rail and non Rail Standards Identify and produce Inspection & Test Plans and Quality Control Sheet documentation. Identify and report non-conforming products to and produce non-conformance reports identifying corrective actions. Identify any deviations from any standards and submit applications for deviations where appropriate Be responsible for managing within their discipline the interface between other disciplines and sub contractors. Organise and undertake briefings to the team for any change in engineering standards or process within their discipline, recording the briefing and returning evidence of the briefing, with any comments to the CEM.
