Qualifications
Good understanding of all Purchasing practices and procedures. Good written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills. Previous experience is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist with Purchasing and/or Sales Activities.
* Purchase various services and materials for the company
* Achieve corporate goals and meet quality, delivery, and cost commitments.
* Assist in establishing procurement procedures and communicate the procedures to all personnel.
* Maintain supplier management and ensure supplier readiness.
* Assist with the coordination of the completion of customer part quotation forms.
* Troubleshoot problems as they arise during the purchasing process and work with the appropriate departments to resolve the issue.
* Communicate all relative issues within the department.
* Set up and support company training policies.
* Set up new part numbers in QAD. QAD master data item site, Master data set-up, QAD master data customer, QAD master data inventory report, QAS master data Trans history.
* Support month end activities.
* Prepare necessary reports for management as requested.
* Requires min daily supervision.
* Evaluate suppliers to ensure they meet the purchasing procedures.
* Maintain the preparation of purchase requisitions/purchase orders and agreements for purchase and sale of goods.
* Troubleshoot problems as needed.
* Manage customer demands and communicate changes to suppliers.
* Support development of 5S, TPM and Kaizen programs.
* It is an essential function of this position that Associates be on the work site in person to perform their job duties throughout each scheduled work week because TSIN operates most effectively with the kind of teamwork, personal interaction, and supervision that simply cannot be had in a home office situation.
* All other duties as assigned.
* Requires knowledge of purchasing terms, principles, and processes.
* Must be able to utilize customer specific portals and databases as they align with the above duties.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb stairs, use fingers, hands, wrists, arms, lift and/or move a maximum of 25 lbs. occasionally.
