Exciting Opportunity: New SMT Team Lead job in Woking, Surrey! Are you an experienced professional with a passion for managing a skilled team in a high-tech manufacturing environment? We are seeking an SMT Team Lead to oversee a specialised group of assembly technicians working on high-value electronic products used in motorsport and high-end automotive applications. This role is based in a cutting-edge facility in Woking, Surrey and offers the chance to work with advanced machinery and industry-leading technology.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of three specialised assembly technicians.
* Operate and program pick and place machines, including a 3x ASM SX line.
* Oversee the use of additional equipment such as 3D AOI, Selective Soldering, X-Ray, and Conformal-Coating machines.
* Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed and liaise with suppliers for machine maintenance.
* Allocate resources effectively and provide technical leadership on key projects.
* Collaborate with stakeholders on resource forecasting and project planning.
* Support DFM (Design for Manufacture), DFA (Design for Assembly), and DFT (Design for Test) with the NPI team.
* Lead production and inspection activities to ensure products meet the highest quality standards.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives in line with ISO9001 standards.
* Provide mentorship and development opportunities for team members.
