Your role
This is a new role created within the senior leadership team of the Semiconductor Chamber Solutions divison, to define and lead the strategy for one of our biggest growth enablers, our global end to end supply chain. The new VP will bring the expertise and experience required to define the strategies and structure required for sucess and to steer, align and optimise our Supply Chain teams around the world to support these strategic initiatives. They will make the entire end to end Supply Chain group a strategic enabler for the division in terms of scale, cost, quality, agility and talent to support our aggressive growth targets by working collaboratively to drive change in a complex environment.
The Division
The Semiconductor Chamber Solutions divison is part of the Vacuum Technique business Area of Atlas Copco and was established in 2020 to focus on products that operate directly on the process chambers within the clean room of Semiconductor Fabs. The majority of our equipment is sold directly to the tool manufacturers (OEM business driven) and we currently have four main product areas: STP turbomolecular pumps, CTI cryogenic pumps, Polycold chillers and our recently acquired Presys Valves. Our headquarters is in Burgess Hill in the UK but we are a truly global division with our operations currently across the US, Mexico, Japan, Korea and China and sales centres around the world. Main Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following key areas:
* Provide leadership, strategic direction and business expertise for the end to end Supply Chain group. This includes operational and strategic capacity and factory planning as well as scheduling, strategic procurement/buying, supplier quality engineering, logistics and freight as well as warehousing and inventory management.
* Develop and execute on a comprehensive strategic business plan to support the division’s growth ambitions and strategic initiatives. This will involve performance optimization of the existing sites, driving synergy programs and creation of highly responsive, agile and adaptive supply chain.
* Establish critical (global) supplier partnerships & relationships including performance & quality management. Drive contract manufacturing partnerships & organization. Drive suppliers to ensure market cycle & geo-political agility. Drive continuous improvement programs keeping sourcing & supply strategy aligned with changing and evolving business.
* Define, drive and support ambitious cost reduction activities across the divisional entities. Define, agree and deliver the global procurement targets.
* Assist in managing key VT cross divisional processes/initiatives/working groups to drive overall cost, efficiency and other key programs.
* Represent the division at relevant VTBA councils.
* Develop and implement a digital strategy within Supply Chain in-line with the digitalization strategy of the division
* Work actively towards ensuring a stable and reliable local and global supply base with short lead-times and on-time delivery with minimum inventory.
* Ensure the supply chain has a build-in flexibility to meet fluctuating market demands which are typical for our business.
* Realize the vision of a zero-defect supply chain and promote pro-active supplier quality assurance to ensure that the products live up to the highest quality standards
* Drive towards longer payment terms to reduce the divisional NWC.
* Create dynamic and entrepreneurial teams. Be responsible for supporting the teams development, performance, engagement, succession, mobility, graduate recruitment, health and well-being and retention globally.
* Support the leadership team during M&A assessments and integrations.
* Take an active role in the PCM (new product development), PCR (Product Company Reviews) and PQM (quality) meetings.
It goes without saying that you'll
* Have Minimum of 5 years of senior leadership driving a complex global Supply Chain organization
* Have a Bechelors degree or equivalent in engineering, business management or related field.
* Have the ability to think and act strategically across a complex global organisation.
* Have the ability to promote and manage change in a complex high-tech multi-disciplined environment, requiring influencing, presentation, analytical and negotiating skills at the highest level.
* Have experience of influencing people in a diverse cultural environment.
* Have influencing skills in a matrixed environment.
* Have proven experience & results implementing end to end global Supply Chain processes and strategies.
* Have proven experience negotiating sourcing and supply contracts at high levels.
* Proven knowledge of implementing global strategies while meeting local objectives.
* Have leadership skills and a strong ability to lead globally based teams.
* Be fluent in both verbal and written English and have excellent communication skills across all levels of an organisation.
* Have willingness to travel as when the business conditions and strategies require
